FAQ
How does an Electronic Cigarette work?
The electronic cigarette (or eCig) consist of a battery (the white part), and a cartridge (the "filter" part) which contains flavoring and a heating element. When you draw on it, the heating element warms a small amount of liquid, creating a vapor, which is then inhaled.
It feels and tastes like a cigarette and delivers nicotine or no nicotine, depending on your choice. The eCigarette gives smoking pleasure without any of the problems associated with tobacco based cigarettes.
Nothing is burning. There is NO ODOR.
Can I save money?
You bet! The eCigarette costs considerably less than traditional cigarettes. Typically 1 pack per day smoker at $6.00 per pack will save well over $1500.00 per year.
How do the ingredients compare to those in common smoking products?
The eCigarette contains around 15 harmless chemicals, compared to traditional cigarettes, which according to the American Lung Association, contains 600 ingredients. When burned, it creates 7000 chemicals. Almost 79 are known to cause cancer, many are toxic
The tobacco leaves, paper and glue, when ignited, can harm nearly every organ of the body, and cause cancer, cardiovascular and respiratory disease according to the Center for Disease Control.
This eCigarette contains water, vegetable glycerin, food-grade propylene glycol, nicotine, and a flavor similar to common cigarette flavor. The Food and Drug Administration says propylene glycol is safe. Nicotine itself is not believed to have bad effects, it is in the same family as vitamin B6, niacin. It offers some therapeutic uses and can be found in pepper, tomato, eggplant and potato.
What is propylene glycol?
Propylene glycol is a commonly used compound, found in food coloring, flavoring, and as an additive to keep food, medicines and cosmetics moist. In the eCigarette, propylene glycol, along with vegetable glycerin, provides the vapor that looks like smoke and contains the flavor.
How long does a cartridge last?
One cartridge will last the equivalent of about 30 cigarettes. When the flavor changes and the smoke decreases it is either time to change the cartridge or charge the battery.
How do you use an eCigarette?
It's very easy to use. The battery is rechargeable and the filter (cartridge) simply screws onto the battery. To recharge the battery screw it into the charger and plug into a wall socket or car adapter. See more below.
What's the best way to charge the battery?
Plug into a wall socket or car adapter, don't plug the USB into a computer or other device. We strongly advise against using a computer for charging. These ports are designed for data transfer, and if anything malfunctions while transferring power, you're not only risking damage to your eCig battery but to your computer s well.
Also, never leave a charging battery unattended - keep an eye on anything you're charging, and if it gets hot (slightly warm may be okay, we don't recommend taking risks), unplug immediately.
Only charge till the light goes out, anything more can damage the battery. 2 hrs max, so keep an eye on it. Don't plug in and leave overnight, it will lessen the life of your battery.
